I’m sure you’ve all heard that the new Import/Export DLC for GTA Online comes out on Tuesday. And while prices haven’t been released yet, it’s been leaked that we’re getting 25 new vehicles, at least four of which will be supercars. Rockstar has a habit of massively inflating the price of cars with each new DLC, and rumor has it that at least one car in this new release will be worth an eye-watering $5.7 million.

Reading the forums, it seems everyone is a lot more prepared for this DLC than I am. People have 5, 10, even 20 million dollars saved up. How in the hell are players making these kinds of bucks? I usually make about $100K - $150K in a day if I’m just playing casually, and a little more if I’m grinding missions like crazy. Mostly I play contact missions and join heists when I can. None of my friends have the game, so I’m always stuck playing with randoms, which can make things challenging.

I know Shark Cards are the quickest and easiest way to get in-game cash, but I won’t buy them. I don’t want virtual cars badly enough to spend my real hard-earned cash.

doing heists with friends is the easiest way to make coin. team up with 3 friends and spend a few hours just running heists. my and another oppo were able to grind out like 500k in an hour or so.

I’ve always struggled with making lots of money in GTA Online too. I think not having a group of friends who to regularly play with is definitely a factor. It’s pretty much the reason I hardly play it anymore.

The only reason I have a garage full of super awesome cars is because back in the early days of GTA Online, a hacker gave me $999 mil. Spent that crap long before R* cracked down on the hackers. xD

But yeah, it’s darn near impossible.

The only time I’ve ever had more than $200k in GTA Online is when someone gave me $999 mil in GTA Online’s early days. I bought like, ALL THE CARS. Then R* not only banned the hackers that did it (rightfully so) but took the money back from the people who were given money. They left us innocent peeps with $200k as a sort of “gift”...yeah okay.

In the early days of GTA Online it was near impossible to make any money at all so I was incredibly unhappy when they did that.

Are you on PC? Feel free to add me. My handle is snugglebear1202. I’m at level 189, and have gotten pretty damn good at Pac Standard.

Yeah, I don’t even enter public lobbies now because I’ve heard of modders randomly dropping millions (billions?) of dollars on players. Apparently, everyone gets banned when that happens now, even the innocent people who received the cash.

Oh yeah, I’ve completely forgot that they’re banning innocent players too nowadays. Aww boo hoo R*, deal with it. Ban the bad guys, leave the others alone.

I know it sounds crazy, but I’ve gotten Really lucky with a few Reddit pages and other sites that are literally people looking for others to do heists. It’s extremely rare that I’ve ever had a terrible lobby. It’s usually all guys who just want to make big money quickly.

Just Google gta heist group finder and maybe you can get lucky.

Yeah I’m fucked, although with what I have I’m quite satisfied car wise. I still want that fucking yacht though.

This is really frustrating. I just don’t care to play GTAV online, but I really want to play with the new cars. That said, I can’t mess around with them in SP and it doesn’t leave me much incentive to ever pick it up to play.

I just grind missions. I can solo Titan on hard mode, not that it’s all that impressive. I’ve done a few heists, but even with the the first-time bonus, I still feel like it’s too much work with not enough payoff. R* needs to either quadruple the payouts in-game, or halve the prices of the really expensive stuff.

Yeah, it might cut into their damn Shark Card racket, but their prices are too fucking high. There will still always be people who will choose to buy their way to winning if given the option. But for the rest of us, it would be nice if we could actually afford some of the things in the game without going broke in real life.

I had someone invite me aboard their yacht once. It’s boring. You can drink booze (from your own personal bartender...neat!), get lap dances (from your own personal stripper...neat!), and sit in a hot tub. It’s fun for about 90 seconds, and then you wonder why you just spent $7-9 million. For the same amount, you could have bought a dozen Zentornos. Cars serve a purpose, and the yachts just...don’t.

I had someone drop like $4M on me. Not enough apparently for R* to care. I agree though that they should ban the modder not the innocent.

I have a group of friends where we often jump on Pac Standard and run it 10x in a row. there was a glitch that let you re-run w/o doing the set-ups. Also, we used a Karuma at the end instead of bikes, made it much easier.

Followed the trail to this from your other thread and thought I’d mention that I have the same problem. I recently got back into GTA Online after buying the Xbox One version.

What I learned from a little Googling last night is that you have to be a CEO in order to even do the Import/Export missions. Of course being a CEO requires you spend at least $1 million on an office and, from what I’m reading, that’s the point when you can start raking in stupid amounts of money. Either way, I don’t see myself being able to enjoy Import/Export for awhile because I’m way too casual (I have a life away from games) and I refuse to buy Shark Cards.

Also, so far only two new supercars are listed for sale on the luxury autos website. There are some special cars on the San Andreas site but they look like they were ripped out of Mad Max and aren’t supercars.

Plus, you can only do CEO work in public lobbies. Public lobbies are awful, because they’re full of nine-year-olds, griefers and modders, who are all just there to cause chaos and kill you over and over. You’re better off doing heists for cash. A successful run-through of Pacific Standard Job will net you $400K a pop.

Three more new supercars are on the way. I was afraid they were going to be like $10 million, but the prices aren’t that bad:

- Truffade Nero: $1.44 mil

- Dewbauchee Specter: $600K

- Progen ItaliGTB: $1.19 mil

I tolerate public lobbies usually because I spend so little time actually in them. They exist as a platform to the Online missions for me. But from what I’ve seen of the CEO/Associate missions and what I’ve read about the Import/Export missions, accomplishing anything would be a pain in the ass in a public lobby.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I can never remember your Social Club name. I just searched through my friends list in order to jog my memory, and realized that you’re the one who’s been sending me a bunch of invites lately. Sorry :(

Since the Import/Export dropped, I’ve been grinding car deliveries simultaneously with biker products, so I’ve been keeping myself to public lobbies with few and/or friendly players.

It’s cool, I’ve made a couple million playing Pac Standard this week and have bought a Penetrator, Tempesta, and Nero so far. Feel free to heist with me sometime!
